I LOVE working at Benefit.

So it’s almost 5 o’clock. I have 30 mins left of work on my fourth day of working at Benefit Cosmetics’ UK Head Office. Working full time is taking its toll on my neck and back, but you know what? It doesn’t bother me. I’m loving my new job.

Not only do I feel like I genuinely earned my role here at Benefit, but I also know that the past year I spent working extremely hard on videos, social media and graphics paid off. I was almost under the opinion that no matter how hard I worked or how much of a committed perfectionist I was, I was never going to get a break. That makes me all the more proud that I got this far!

Now, naturally, I’m probably a bit more of a Tomboy, than a girly girl. It’s all a bit messy; I love clothes, make up, accessories…. but I adore computer games, rude jokes and lots of technical IT stuff. Maybe I have the balance just right, who knows! What I do know though, is that before I started purchasing Benefit products, I was pretty clueless about makeup.

I knew the basics. But as for understanding and using Primers, Concealers, Highlighters…. I was pretty out of the loop. Now, thanks to the brilliant girls at my local counter in Essex, and my (somewhat unhealthy) obsession with Benefit products, I know so much more than I did.

It’s great knowing I’m working at a company that I respect and that makes products I genuinely love. I really love coming to work in the morning, knowing I get to tweet, post and answer questions about anything and everything Benefit! Even though it’s only been 4 days, I feel like one of the Benefit-family and I can’t wait to learn more and do more.

Okay, 5:29pm, I’ll quite drooling over my job. I’m outta here!
