This Week In Pictures #3

Ahhh, it’s Sunday; the day of doing as little as humanly possible. I’ve enjoyed today, catching up on my favourite bloggers and their latest posts. I really loved Essie Button’s ‘Beauty Haul & Small Update’; her videos are brilliant and her sense of humour and jokes really made a great start to my day!

So what have I been doing the past week or so…

Well, my love affair with Clarins has grown into something of an obsession and I bought more in the way of skin care as well as their Natural Lip Perfector in 02, which is perhaps one of my new favourite lip products. I’ve also indulged in their Beauty Flash Balm as I heard amazing things about it. I’ve been using it for almost a week and, I love it. Simple.
I have to say something quick on the Lotus Face Treatment Oil too. It’s amazing. I was so worried about putting oil directly on my face, but in 2 weeks, my skin is looking so much healthier. I still have a few spots (time of the month and all that), but the feel and the appearance have improved so much. Brilliant product! I’ll do proper posts for my plethora of Clarin’s products soon.

I had my next Fiorelli gift arrive for June, which is a beautiful tan, bowling-styled bag. That, however, hasn’t stopped me purchasing a Floozie bag and purse to go with my sudden love for all things patriotic!

I was invited to my friend and colleague’s wedding reception in August. The invitation is unique and just so cute! I can’t resist a good knees-up, so I’m really looking forward to that at the end of August.

I’ve read 3 books in 3 days, 2 of which are erotic novels, the other, just a romance. I love these kind of books (obviously) and my favourite was ‘Bared to You’ by Syliva Day. It had an amazing protagonist, Eva, who is independent and strong, and the leading man was charming and powerful. The storyline is amazing, I was completely hooked when I started reading it! I’m saying no more, though, as I really don’t want to ruin it for those of you who may choose to read it. The second book isn’t out until October and I CAN’T WAIT. I’ve already made a note in my iPhone (no joke). Full reviews to come on all 3 books.

I thought I’d jump on the make-up bandwagon and try the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer. It really is a fab product, and considering the price, it’s now one of my favourite products. I take it everywhere with me!
I thought I’d take a leaf out of Vivianna Does Makeup’s book and leave foundation behind for a while. My skin has been ridiculously dry and all make-up was caking and flaking, which not only looked awful, but made my skin feel tight and almost sore. I decided to try the tinted moisturiser route. I’m currently trying out the Dr Jart+ Premium BB Beauty Balm, and I ADORE it. My skin looks healthy and clear, whilst appearing like there’s no make-up on my skin at all. It remains dewy and in place all day. I’ve been using this in conjunction with Clarin’s HydraQuench Cream-Mask and together my skin is in far better condition for it! Love love love.

Of course I also saw the Olympic Torch come through my hometown of CHelmsford. More about that experience HERE. I’ll do full reviews on all of the products I’ve brought (which is hundreds – you’ve been warned).

Hope you like my slideshow!
